
This is probably the best oatmeal raisin cookies recipe that I have found. When I was a kid I remember not liking raisins in oatmeal cookies. But I also ate dirt and went to the bathroom in my pants.
My grandma used to make cookies that these remind me of, but hers were always hard and broke apart instead of pulling apart.
Ingredients play a part in whether your oatmeal cookies are hard or chewy, but the biggest thing is how long you cook them. I’ve found its always best to take your oatmeal cookies out of the oven just before it looks like they’re done.
They still cook for a minute or two until you actually get them off the cookie sheet, this way the final outcome should be perfect.
The Best Oatmeal Raisin Cookies Recipe
Ingredients:
- 3/4 cup butter
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/4 cup flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 3/4 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 3/4 cup rolled oats
- 1 cup raisins
Directions:
- Heat oven to 375 degrees.
- Cream together the butter and sugars until its smooth. Then beat in the eggs and vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, mix the remaining dry ingredients together. Then beat this mixture into the wet ingredient mixture.
- Drop by tablespoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake 8-10 minutes and then let cool for 10 minutes.
